Jamaican Sweet Potato Pudding is a favorite Sunday meal for Jamaicans and is fondly known as “Hell a Top, Hell a Bottom and Hallelujah in the Middle.
My spouse and I rather the sweet taters with the yellow flesh than the ones with the white or red flesh. In Jamaica, it is known as, yellow belly lovely potato white belly lovely potato orange belly nice potato.
Lovely Potato Pone, or Nice Potato pudding as it is also referred to as, is another of our favorite Jamaican desserts, and it is quite simple to make.
Jamaican Sweet Potato Pudding Recipe
2 pounds sweet spud
you cup flour
2 glasses coconut milk
1 glasses raisin (some used other dried fruits)
2 tablespoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon roughly grated nutmeg
1 teaspoon blended spice
1 cup brownish sugar
1 teaspoon sodium
1 teaspoon margarine
TECHNIQUES And METHODS:
Wash and pare off the skin of the potatoes.
Wash again then grater it.
Grate coconut, add water and squeeze drink through a strainer.
Mixture flour, mixed spice (raisins etc), salt, and nutmeg.
Combine this mixture with the grated potatoes and blend well.
Add glucose, fruits, and coconut dairy. Mix well.
Grease baking pan, roll in batter, cook at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 40-60 minutes or until it’s done.
