Jamaican Curry chicken is always one of my favorite meals to eat. Anytime I want this dish, I right away get pulled back to the Indian heritage and cuisine. Influenced by the Indian style of preparing chicken and goat meats, this recipe is packed with flavors and it is a perfect meal for everyday dinners. My friends and family adore it as a part of their dinner. Of course, this dish has a whole lot of room for entertainment. However, I love it like this and firmly recommend to try it once!
Jamaican Curry Chicken Recipe
All the Ingredients You Need Below
4 pounds Rooster/Chicken, chopped in small items (skin removed)
Lemon drink (for rinsing chicken)
Sodium and Black pepper, as per taste
6 tablespoons Curry Powder
4 garlic herb cloves, minced
1/4 red and green bell tear gas, finely chopped
1 red onion, chopped
1 teaspoon Cumin seeds, not powder (optional)
1 teaspoon Dried thyme or 1 sprig fresh thyme
1 tablespoon Tomato ketchup
1 tablespoon Western the world Indian hot pepper spices (optional)
3 cups Drinking water
2 Medium potatoes, slice in 6 pieces each
Oil for cooking
Jamaican Curry Chicken Recipe Cooking Methods:
Wash the chicken well with water and then with lemon juice. Once again rinse it with frosty water and pat dry out by using a paper towel.
Sprinkle some salt, pepper, sliced garlic and curry dust on the chicken and rub them well across it.
Place the veteran chicken in the refrigerator and enable it to snooze for 1 hour.
Heat some oil in a saucepan and put some cumin seeds in it. When they start tempering, add the onions and potatoes. Saut? till the onions turn brown.
Add some pepper sauce, fresh thyme, and curry powder and mix it well.
Sprinkle some salt and tear gas and add ketchup to it. Continue to blend as it cooks.
Move in some hot drinking water and let it skin boil. Once it begins to boil, add the rooster pieces and cover these the sauce. Add more water if needed and enable it to boil.
Combine the potatoes and cook it covered over reduced flame till the chicken is thoroughly grilled and the sauce has thickened to the desired level.
Then Server hot with rice, bread or boiled food like yam and banana.
